Allowing GIE Afer to better communicate with its collaborators
GIE is the customer service of Afer, an insurance company. About 200 collaborators work on the management of its contracts. Despite its size, the company didn't have a proper brand identity. GIE Afer asked me to create its internal branding to help them communicate with their collaborators.

Main visual
The client wanted to create a main visual that would help collaborators recognize all internal communications. They already knew they wanted to use a beehive symbol to represent their organization. They also opted for a hand drawn style in a previous benchmark session.
RESEARCH
We decided to work on a newsletter format to see how the main visual would fit into the layout. We worked on a set of hand drawn icons and on different beehive patterns.

FINAL VISUAL
The final main visual was used in newsletters, business cards and presentation slides. We completed the icon set and created two characters to personify the collaborators.

Presentation slides
We developed the brand identity in the presentation slides. We created cover, chapter and content pages for all uses.
CHARACTERS
Two characters were created to give the presentation slides a more human touch. They were also used occasionally in specific newsletter headers.

Mascot design
At this stage of the project, the client felt the need to create a mascot. They wanted a cute and quirky character that would be the voice of GIE Afer. This mascot would then talk to the collaborators and give them advice in all internal communication campaigns.
RESEARCH
Following the beehive concept, the client wanted to work on a bee character. We proposed several designs with different levels of stylisation. The final mascot followed the hand drawn style of the brand identity and was used on most printed media: stickers and posters.
